I have tried to stay as close as possible to 'Gianluigi Buffon's' original design. I have used 3D elements to make the sculpture more interesting.

The trigger has been replaced by a football, which is a cast metal money box! The stars are machine cut (CNC) from plastic model board and finished in 23ct gold leaf, the gold stars are the proud points of the piece and are the most celebrated symbols of the World Cup.

I used enamels to paint the sculpture and is completely hand painted. The brass plaques are also produced by myself using CNC and hand finished. I chose to paint the base in the colours of the Italian team's kit and finish with a gold trim, this is based on the teams 2006 World Cup winning kit.
